The 2008 Juno Awards were held in Calgary during the first week of April. The city came alive as Calgarians and artists from across Canada took ownership of the festival and showed once and for all that “Music Lives Here.” Jim was honoured to attend various ceremonies and events throughout the weekend and was especially honoured, along with his colleague the Honourable Josee Verner, to present the Juno for Best New Group to Wintersleep of Halifax during the Sunday night broadcast.
